It is an international affair as NBC’s The Apprentice, premieres on its new night - Monday, February 27 from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT - with candidates hailing from the former U.S.S.R., England, and Canada as well as a MENSA member, joining Donald Trump for the fifth season of The Apprentice. For the first time, Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka and eldest son Donald Jr. will fill in for Carolyn Kepcher and George Ross respectively, during multiple episodes of The Apprentice.
“It’s triple the Trump this season on ‘The Apprentice,’” said Donald Trump, executive producer of The Apprentice. “I invited my children Don Jr. and Ivanka into the boardroom for several episodes this season and they take the firings to a whole new level. I once again hand-picked this season’s 18 candidates and this group is as smart and likable as season four but even more entertaining.”
Ranging in age from 22 - 38, these candidates boast degrees from Harvard, Columbia Northwestern and Cornell University. A psychotherapist, appellate attorney and sticker company owner are among Donald Trump’s cast.
“Viewers clearly related to the cast of season four,” said Mark Burnett, creator and executive producer of The Apprentice. “We received tremendous feedback about how smart, attractive and likeable they all were. The candidates on season five are cut from the same mold. They are brilliant, (including our first-ever MENSA member), hungry and more international than ever — including candidates from England, the former U.S.S.R. and Canada.”
